Mrs. Leena Niemistö, MD, PhD, is a trailblazing healthcare professional and a passionate advocate for sustainable and equitable investments. With decades of experience in the healthcare sector, she has skillfully combined her medical expertise with entrepreneurial leadership to drive meaningful impact.

From 2003 to 2012, Dr. Niemistö served as the CEO of Dextra Oy, where she successfully grew the company and led its acquisition by Pihlajalinna Oy. Following the sale, she continued as CEO of Dextra and Vice CEO of Pihlajalinna Oyj until 2016, when she transitioned to strategic roles as a board member in both listed and unlisted companies, using her deep knowledge to guide growth and innovation.

In 2013, Mrs. Niemistö founded Kaikarhenni Oy, a platform through which she has invested in over 50 companies and participated in around 250 funding rounds. Her commitment to advancing impactful ventures expanded further in 2018 when she co-founded Hippocras LP, where she serves as General Partner of Hippocras GP Oy. This initiative, created in collaboration with Kaikarhenni Oy and the European Angels Fund S.C.A. SICAR, reflects her unwavering dedication to advancing healthcare innovation and promoting environmental sustainability.
